Our Brand Of Hero Limbs
Available to fit both adults and children, the ‘Hero limbs’ that we build are clinically approved 3D-printed standard and bionic limbs, which depending on the model and style, can mimic the capability of a human limb incredibly closely, even providing a real flesh feel to some. Our aim is to reshape perceptions around limb difference and make pioneering affordability and accessability to those in need.
Design process
The old method of prosthesis design was typically undertaken by shaping wax on a plaster replica of the patient's anatomy. Realism is predominantly achieved through the prosthetist's ability to interpret the correct location and physically recreate the anatomical shape and detail.
With our improved 3D printing technology, a real time scan and virtual casting will take place to improve the speed and the invasiveness of this process to produce a high quality, realistic, (and in available cases) mirror image of the requested prosthesis for the individual.
